Anastasia flowers of Leeds won a medal at the Chelsea Flower Show 2009 in the floristry section competition at that prestigious event.

Our talented designers won the regional heat by a huge margin, achieving the proud title of "Yorkshire Florist of the Year 2008" and gaining two places out of the 15 allocated all across the country for the Chelsea final 2009.

Competing side to side with the best of the national designers Lana Bates won a Silver Gilt medal for the entry "Flamboyant floral hat" , a very rare achievement for a first attempt at Chelsea!

Her Majesty the Queen attended the event and looked at all the exhibits on display, but our hat display was the only one that she remarked on, saying simply 'that one is very interesting! as a terrific result for us at our first Chelsea!'

That comment and a Silver Gilt medal was a terrific result for us at our first Chelsea!

Next year we hope to bring a gold medal back to Yorkshire!
